We had a wonderful trip to see the Christmas lights in Melbourne. On a glorious day we left Frankston about 3:30pm, traveled to Sorrento to catch the ferry for a smooth sail to Queenscliff, then on to Geelong for a drive around the historic areas. Time for a smorgasbord before heading to Melbourne and the wonderful Eureka Skydeck. Boy! what a view as we watch the sun set over the City and beyond. Then over to the Melbourne Town Hall for the marvelous light show and a stroll to the City Square across the road which had huge toy soldiers and Christmas tree. A true fantasy for the more mature child. A drive over the Bolte Bridge to view the Melbourne Star, our poor excuse for the London Wheel!, but it was very pretty lit up at night. Home about midnight and smiles all round. A truly magical night out.
Here are some pics of the Melbourne Town Hall..
