A trip to The National Aviation Museum at Moorabbin Airport was a bit of a fizzer.  Not only did the volunteer on duty that day not have our booking, despite Win having made a confirmation only a week before, but the guide Win ordered was asleep when we got there but woke up promptly when another group arrived...Talk about a lack of communication...So we took ourselves around and yours truly had a lovely chat to one of the volunteer aviator restorers who was quite sad to think that there is no interested from our youth in aviation history to keep up the restoration of these wonderful old aircraft. It really is a shame that our history is fading due to lack of interest.
However, for those who are interested, the museum has wonderful photos and planes to admire, although you cannot get into them, of course.  But it will take you back to those early days.
