Our Annual Biggest Morning Tea is always a success thanks to the tireless efforts of President Roy and Social Coordinator, Win. Roy gathers members to source items for auction and Win makes up the most sumptuous baskets and prizes for raffle. The ensuing bedlam that constitutes the notorious auction didn't disappoint and a steady stream of items went under a very noisy hammer, all in a good cause for Cancer research.
Our largest raffle item was a trip donated by Drivers, bus company who regularly take us out on our trips. A wonderful full day trip worth over $300 was on offer and the lucky winner was Lyla French (see photo below. The prize was presented by Lauris from Drivers.
Frankston's Mayor, Sandra Mayer dropped in for cuppa and a friendly chat. Sandra moved around the tables saying a friendly Hello to all present.
At the time of this post, I haven't got the final figure from the day, but will post later.
